Manifesting money isn’t always as obvious as it sounds. Some people have a hard time accepting that it really happens unless they find the check in the mail or have the cold cash in hand.

But the Universe doesn’t always work that way.

Recently, my garbage disposal stopped working. Being somewhat comfortable with the jiggling of handles and unplugging/plugging back in of power cords, I gave it my best shot at repair. None of these advanced technical skills helped and my partner reluctantly agreed to go pick up a new for me to install. (I’m much better at installation than repair. After all, the instruction are right there in French.)

Garbage disposals are not hugely expensive, but they’re not cheap either. This unbudgeted expense was going to cut into some purchases that were much more fun and glamorous and didn’t require crawling under the sink.

When I opened the box of my new Rabid Badger Insinkerator 3010, I noticed a very small slip of paper with the tiny words “For the Installer” printed on it. It had five staples holding the elaborate origami folds closed and opening the page to read it seemed like it was going to take more time than the entire install.

But I opened it. It was a list of things the installer would have to do before he or she dared to bring the Badger back to the store claiming it didn’t work right after installation. One of things to check was a red button called the overload switch hidden at the bottom of the disposal. OK … but wait. If the Rabid Badger had this button, I thought, then what about my old non-rabid one?

Long story short and apologies to all of you out there who are chuckling and shaking your heads about my lack of knowledge of secret overload buttons - I pushed the button and the old chomper roared to life. I refolded the origami, closed the box back up and got my money back.

I consider this situation as money manifestation at its finest.

Sure, it was my money to begin with, but anyone who owns a home knows there is going to be a certain amount of annual financial output required to keep the home maintained. The prospect of diverting my money from some frivolous purchases to this repair made me reassess whether those purchases were necessary. Some still were - because wealth is all about having some things just because they’re pretty or silky or can slice right through titanium - but some were easily marked off the list and the money banked.

I’ve been using a number of “A” words in the blog lately: Action, Affirmation, Abundance … let’s add Awareness to that list and keep in mind that money flows in limitless channels.
