Truth As a Positive Message
One of the most positive messages I could think of for you today is the following by Kahlil Gibran:
Say not, ‘I have found the truth,’ but rather, ‘I have found a truth.’
The truth of anything - no matter how small and insignificant that thing may seem to be - can never be sized up to fit in a single box. By the simple fact that every human being’s thought processes and life experience are original, we color and shape the truths we find.
If you and I have discovered “the” truth of what it means to think rich, our truths will be different. Which one is “the” truth is not a relevant nor applicable question. My truth, shaped by my life view, will work to make me a millionaire if I follow it. Does that mean then that you and your truth have no chance of finding wealth?
Of course not.
If you realize there are innumerable truths wrapped up in “the” truth, then you can realize there is no such thing as failure. Your optimism can be boundless. How’s that for a positive message?
Finding what you believe to be “the” truth limits your options for success to exactly one. If you try to achieve wealth, for example, by following that truth and then fail, that means the truth was wrong and you can never be rich.
But if you rethink your outlook on truth and realize what you had found was merely “a” truth, you are free to again seek truth on the same matter. And when you’ve found the right truth for you, you will become rich. You can only achieve failure by giving up on the search for that truth.
This is why you should never be discouraged if you try to get rich using someone else’s methods, based on what they believe is the truth. Yes, Donald Trump’s truth obviously worked for him and Bill Gate’s truth worked for him as well. But they are two separate truths and maybe neither one of them is your truth.
Learn what the gurus have to say and learn how they applied their truths while working toward their goals. That’s the positive message, the real value you should be taking from all the books and courses and seminars they offer. Then, when you find a truth - your truth that works for you - you’ll have the tools you need to follow through.
